SURFzone Grades 5 & 6

SURF stands for Students Uncovering Real Faith. It’s based on Hebrews 12.2, “Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.” This combines the water theme of the Jr. Hi (Oasis) with the Zone idea from children’s ministry.

The five purposes are:

1. Honor. Committed to honoring God - heartfelt devotion

2. Grow. Passion to know God - spiritual growth

3. Connect. Respect for all people - healthy relationships

4. Serve. Serving people in need - compassionate service

5. Reach. Impacting the world for Christ - life-changing impact

Each purpose is supported by three to five goals. If you’d like a copy of the goals, you can find them in our SURFzone Ministry brochure located at the literature rack (main lobby) and Children’s Ministry Welcome Center (lower level, near CE Office, Rm. 43).

Worship Service
         FOCUS: Honor & Grow
PreTeens are encouraged to attend worship service with their parents or another family.

Wednesday Evening 7:00-8:30 PM

FOCUS: Grow & Serve
* Connect Time
* Learning Time
   Mix of Bible study, topical studies and skill-building classes
* Small Group or Recreation Time
