Worship Technology

camera tech

Sundays at Grace would not look the same without many of the behind-the-scenes ministries we have.  From camera operaters to video directors to sound operators, the worship technology teams help to enhance the worship experience by creating an atmosphere that allows people to meet with God.  If you have an interest in technology, we would love to have you join our teams--no previous experience required for most positions.  Positions are available for:

  • monitor mix location operators to create just the right mix for each band member, so that each musician hears what he/she needs in his/her monitor
  • sound recording technicians to create a high-quality recording mix of the music on Sundays for CD & DVD
  • lighting operators to  run lighting cues for Sunday services
  • video directors to select  what appears on the image magnification and DVD recording by switching from one camera shot to another, as well as switching from camera shots to text and short videos; this person speaks to and coordinates all camera and lighting operators
  • camera operators to control focus, zoom, and iris of broadcast quality video cameras for image magnification and DVD recording; receives instruction from video director audio_tech
  • video creation team to shoot and edit short videos pertaining to messages or ministries in the church as the need arises-these videos will be used to enhance messages on Sundays or for promotional purposes for various ministries within the church; some video editing experience is necessary
  • graphics operators to run the song lyrics and sermon notes on Sundays
  • VJ operators to choose creatively from various moving backgrounds under the text in order to depict visually what is being sung; in addition to being able to switch video clips of backgrounds, this person will also be able to change color, saturation, and speed of video
