Culture Shock (Chip Ingram DVD)
Where do you stand on issues like absolute truth, sexuality, abortion, the environment and the church and politics? More importantly, what does God say? If there was ever a time for Christians to understand and communicate God's truth about controversial and polarizing issues, it is now. More than ever before, believers must develop convictions based on research, reason and Biblical truth. But it doesn't stop there. It's equally important that we're able (and willing) to communicate these convictions with a love and respect that reflects God's own heart. In this study we’ll learn how to respond with love, even in the face of controversy. In the process, we'll discover the power of bringing light - not heat - to the core issues at the heart of our society. Workbook available - $8. |

When a Nation Forgets God
Using a book by Erwin Lutzer we will look at some lessons from other nations in history. We will also briefly look at the Founding Fathers and what they really believed. Did America ever revere God? Some of the other topics covered in the book that we will discuss are: when God is separated from government judgment follows, it’s always the economy, that which is legal might also be evil, and propaganda can change a nation. We will also explore the dangers of Socialism, which Karl Marx said was the final step to Communism. Be prepared for lively discussion. Book available - $8. |
